Built From the Ground Up by Flow 187
Before he built a label, Flow 187 built himself. Born Robert B. Roots in Queens, New York, he came up between Queens, Miami, Atlanta, and Los Angeles: four cities, four sounds, and one relentless work ethic. He started making music as a teenager and taught himself every side of the craft, from rapping and producing to engineering and shooting his own visuals.
His 2019 single "New Drip" put his name in motion, and his work since has connected him with respected names across the culture, including a record with Harlem legend Max B on "187 Coke Wave." Off the mic, he is an entrepreneur and the author of Falling Isn't Failing, a playbook on turning setbacks into success.
Inspired by the ownership-first blueprint of Nipsey Hussle, Flow created Roots Music Group around one belief: an independent artist should never have to choose between their freedom and a real shot. He has lived the closed doors, the late nights, and the "you're not ready yet." RMG is the company he wished had existed when he was coming up.
